Luca Crow

concept artist, dino enthusiast, video games liker

I'm Luca, also known as cinna!
A friendly artist who lives on the internet and tries to make stuff.

My specialties include character design, paleontology, dragons, cute critters, and cool monsters.

If you want something drawn, I'm always happy to help you out. I freelance while designing my own games!

My adoptables are premade character designs that you can purchase and use for whatever you want.

Here's some of the stuff I'm either planning or working on!

Wonder Garden: A game where you raise little plant critters and then send them to take on stadium minigames! Explore various 3D platformer-ish adventure fields for resources to help your babbies grow. Very Chao Garden inspired.

Exuvia: A short and sweet RPG with horror vibes. In a land inhabited by peaceful bugfolk, cute girlfriends Rubi and Crista boot up an old game console they found in an abandoned village. What could go wrong? Turns out the console is haunted, and the spirits trapped within their games begin to corrupt the realm. It's up to Rubi and Crista to restore the world and avoid their own corruption.

Gnarbo's Swamp: An RPG/adventure game about a cheerful little forest spirit named Gnarbo, who loves you. He wants to fill up a photo album with pictures of friends! Explore the swamp and nearby lands, meet various colourful critters, and make all the friends you can.

Starsong: A story-driven 3D platformer set during the aftermath of the Cretaceous extinction event. A young raptor named Starsong searches for home and finds hope in a hopeless world.

Wonder Berry: Neopets meets Digimon meets Yu-Gi-Oh!? A virtual pet site built around a battle TCG.

... and more, I hope!

Sky Shy: A character-driven fantasy adventure novel, about a beast tamer named Silva who chases her flights of fancy all the way to mythical island Hurricane. Along the way, she discovers a crisis: the world of Aer is losing its magic. Silva must seek the Princesses of Earth, Sky, Sea, and Underworld, demigods who might be able to save the world if they unite at Hurricane.

Wingbeat: A pro gamer called Phantom seeks a new beginning, dissatisfied with the sense of emptiness in her life. She signs up for an experimental procedure to transfer her consciousness into a digital body, bound to a developing digital reality known as the ARium. The last thing she expects is to wake up as a dragon. Somehow, though, this new world might end up being more of a home than the "real" world ever was.

Snow Shine: A cheesy fantasy story about dinosaurs with elemental powers. Yeah!

Going to the Sky: The story of corvids and wolves who come together to survive in the mountains.

Wings by Moonlight: A webcomic! A young teen finds solace in a new game, an immersive ARG that lets you enter a digital world with other players. When they discover that the game's world is more real than it seems, they explore more deeply, form unexpected friendships, and become a hero. Saving dragon eggs by moonlight, starting high school by daylight... and growing up.

Seventh Life: A very personal story about self-discovery, struggle, and hope. New life after new life, always fighting. What potential does the future hold? If a cat has nine lives, how many are left?

Adaptation: My first album, a way to express personal feelings and personal growth. WIP.

Adaptation

You think you don’t know how to swim
‘Til strong enough waves pull you in
You think you might drown without hope
But something inside keeps afloat

You know that you’re strong
But you can’t hold on for long

But you try, and
You try
You try, til
You’ve been in the ocean for a long, long time
And you just want to know land again

Though with enough time under there,
You learn how to breathe without air
And know by heart how to face fear,
You know you’re not made to be here

It’s another day
And you can’t go home
You’re here anyway
So you have to make this sea your own

So you try, and
You try
You try, but
You’ve been in the ocean for a long, long time
And you wish the tide would take you in

The First Sunrise

With blood chlorophyll infused
I photosynthesize
And i’ve waited every day
To see the first sunrise

Luminous as I believe
Fluorescent in its stead
More than just to bide the night
Embrace the day ahead

When dawn falls
You can wake up
And give light to all
And you can breathe
When day calls

The moon doesn’t shine on its own
And wind doesn’t whisper alone
As long as we see the same sky
We don’t really need goodbye

Even starlight from afar
Still every night supplies
Comfort through the dark until
We see the first sunrise

And dawn falls
And we wake up
And give light to all
And we can breathe
When day calls

The moon doesn’t shine on its own
And wind doesn’t whisper alone
As long as we see the same sky
We won’t ever need goodbye

And we can breathe

Boneyard Pride

You were just a cub
Learning how to be a lion
When your pride crashed
Down into the sand

The lioness fell hard
Onto you
When the rest of your guard
Disappeared
Locked inside a boneyard
Eating scraps
After her

“You’re lucky,” she said,
“That I have to hunt for you.
It’s all I live for,
Don’t you dare ask for more.”

The lioness cries that you’re killing her
The same moment she leaves you to die
In the wild where nobody knows you
And you get lost under the sky

You need family like you need water
But you're drowning in one
Forever lost the other

She built a new pride
And they kept you inside

The lioness laughs that she won't hurt you
In the same breath she tells you to die

And you need hope like you need water
And now you're missing one
But you still have the other
For now

Cover Thief

I’ve been wandering for so much of my life
That I’ve forgotten what home feels like
Even though it’s all I’ve ever dreamed of

If I look I find only
A world that doesn’t see me
So I borrow the shade
Of somebody else’s cave

Call me a thief
But I’m not here to steal
Just feel safe

Someone else out there is looking for
What only you have to bring into their world

People get knocked down for so much of their lives
That they’ve forgotten what love feels like
Even though it’s always all around them

If they look they’ll find it
But they won’t know how to see it
When it’s only a seedling
Reaching out of the shade
